As a part of this multicultural week, mambo-mambaroo’s K Sieumhoe* prepared a Music induction for the contemporary Kpop. In this induction, Choi Kyun-Sam, head of our pop culture investigation team, chose the most representative songs from 2008 to 2010 for a contemporary overview.
Colourbox 14 (Kpop induction) contains hits songs like Gee froms Girl’s Generation (SNSD / 소녀시대), anthem from a generation, record breaking song that took everybody by surprise (even SNSD herself), or Super Junior (슈퍼주니어)’s sorry sorry, one of the most danced songs in the history of choreographics. Boy bands like 2PM, or Big Bang (빅뱅), who raised the level in fashion and rapping for younger talents to come. Girl bands such as KARA (카라) or Aftar School (애프터스쿨) with their girly yet bold image.
Enjoy, be prepared for a journey into the most impressive and growing industry in Asia… K-pop.
